The Team
The Rooney Tax team is led by Gary Rooney. Gary joined the profession in 1998 having served over fifteen years in the Revenue. During his time with the Revenue he was involved in all types and levels of investigations from local office enquiries to very specialist investigations and prosecutions in Special Office and Special Compliance Office.
Since joining the profession Gary continued his personal and professional development in 'Big 4' firms before setting up Rooney Tax Services. He has used his extensive experience and knowledge to help individuals, businesses and companies facing investigation by H M Revenue & Customs to achieve the best possible outcome. Gary is particularly keen to protect his clients from the worst elements of an investigation whilst working towards a resolution with H M Revenue & Customs.
His particular areas of expertise include cases of suspected serious fraud, Civil Investigation of Fraud, Voluntary Disclosures and Disclosures under the New Disclosure opportunity and the offshore disclosure facility, Local and Area office investigations, testimonials and sports issues and foreign entertainers. He has also been instrumental in assisting several legal teams in prosecution cases achieve positive outcomes.
